Lakeside PJ’s | a review

Pattern: Lakeside Pajamas by Grainline Studios

Fabric: shot cotton found at Purl Soho.

Notions: 2 reels of gutermann thread.

Pattern description: Grainline’s Lakeside Pajamas feature a spaghetti strap tank with a split back and gym-style shorts. These PJs are perfect for lounging or sleeping, while keeping you cool and cute! Sized from 0 to 18, the pattern is nested to facilitate cutting between sizes if needed. Grainline rates this pattern as advanced beginner.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes and no.  The top is, the shorts – not sure if it’s because I’m dyslexic or not, but it confused me.  So I made it up and happy with how it looks, just not as the pattern was intended.
Were the instructions easy to follow: yes, relatively straight forward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern: I liked the simple shapes and ease of construction on the top.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Only changes I made were to the side seams on the shorts.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others: my daughter loves wearing them – so probably will.

Conclusion: simple shape, lovely to wear.  Light, flowing and perfect summer pj’s.  Would be amazing in liberty Tana Lawn.
