Today we went along to The Cake and Bake show at Earls Court. Being unusually organisised I had pre booked tickets and classes, sourdough bread with Aidan Chapman, gingerbread with James Morton – from last years GBB and cronuts with Ed Kimber.
The cronuts were delicious, a cronut is a croissant Doughnut hybrid and if you’d like to try making them – click over to Ed’s website where you’ll find the recipe. There was so much to see, cake catwalk, demonstrations by celebrity chefs, new products to see and cakes to buy and wow there were so many sugary delights available. Bonne Maman had storage jars in the shape of their jam jars, so tempted! Billington’s had a free cake tin on offer and available via their website too.
Here’s my monster with Ed. We came home with some great new ideas to try and a dalek cake ‘tin’ (Lakeland if your asking), inspired to bake and planning lots of new bakes. It was fun, very busy and full of all ages, the Great British Bake off has inspired so many to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
